Helen Donovan – Industrial Transformation Division
Helen has over 30 years of economic development experience in an international environment within a wide range of technology sectors. Over the past decade Helen has developed considerable experience within the sustainable technologies arena with a specific focus on delivering a variety of offshore renewable energy and industrial decarbonisation projects within Wales – at manufacturing, service and generation levels interacting with start-up companies through to global international players.

Steve Jermy – Non Executive Director (Energy)
Steve is an Offshore Renewable Energy business leader. He has over 35 years offshore experience, including in offshore renewable energy, sea command, sea training, offshore aviation, ships diving, SAR, oil & gas security and fishery protection.
He is also a Non-Executive Director on the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership, which as a Cluster Board member organisation, leads the South West’s strategy for economic development of the Celtic Sea and local supply chain growth.
Marine Energy Wales
Tom Hill – Marine Energy Programme Manager
Tom grew up in Pembrokeshire and developed his career in the marine energy industry, from surveying through to project development with Wave Energy developer, Bombora. Tom joined the MEW team in 2021 as Project Delivery Manager for our Marine Energy Test Area (META), and in 2022 took on the role of Marine Energy Wales Programme Manager, overseeing a host of projects, collaborations and stakeholders to spearhead the development and deployment of marine renewable technology in Wales.
As a Cluster Board member organisation, Marine Energy Wales brings diverse stakeholder representation from its membership to the Celtic Sea Cluster and as Secretariat to the Celtic Sea Developer Alliance provides clear channels of communication between the sector cross borders as well as the Welsh supply chain interests.
Celtic Sea Power
Matt Hodson – Chief Operating Officer
Matt is Celtic Sea Power’s Chief Operations Officer. He is playing a leading role alongside key partners in positioning, formulating, and delivering the strategy for the future of Floating Offshore Wind and the marine sector in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. He is an experienced commercial and operational leader with over 30 years’ experience across a range of sectors, but predominately in the Marine industry. Following an early career as a Merchant Navy Deck Officer his roles have covered Public Sector economic growth, Marine Operations/Marine Technology/ Marine Renewable Energy, Port Management, Marine Leisure, Shipping and Commercial Services.
As a Cluster Board member organisation Celtic Sea Power will stimulate and support the development of the supply chain in Cornwall.
ORE Catapult
Dr Stephen Wyatt – Research and Innovation Director
Stephen joined the Catapult in December 2013 and is responsible its portfolio of emerging technology activity. He leads a research team focusing on the development of next generation technologies and oversees the Catapults work in identifying and supporting disruptive technology start-ups.
Stephen provides continuity with the Catapults other floating wind initiatives and the perspective on national government and regulatory priorities.
